Who are some of your rugby idols, and why?
Jacques Fourie, Jean De Villiers, Jerry Collins
All three were brilliant at reading the game defensively and were all solid on defence and with ball in hand.
What advice would you give to young players who are just starting out in rugby?
Just stay focused and committed, there are no short cuts to success.
What makes this team special?
It is just one big cooking pot of cultures, and it mixes so well and we have that brotherhood feeling every time we are together and that just feels good to be a part of.
How has playing rugby shaped you as a person? What are some of the most valuable lessons you've learned?
The lessons I have learnt coming back into the Masi family is to take pride in myself and the club, teamwork and being committed and consistent.
Why Masiphumelele Rugby Club?
I am a born and raised valley boy and have always been part of the entire community and Masi incorporates that community feeling.
Can you tell us about your most cherished or defining moment playing rugby?
My defining moment would have to be coming back to the club after 12 years and pushing myself to the limit and making the 1st team this year.
