Hyacinths have been collected in the past couple of weeks, which were taken to Jakes Gerwel Technical School to be added to the existing tanks. Currently there are almost six tanks full of plants, and we will request for the planthoppers to be brought in, commencing with the breeding process. There are various patrol points on the Breede River, carefully monitored by residents and farmers. When spotted, plants are being taken to Jakes Gerwel to add to the breeding tanks. There are certain spots that are not monitored at present, and we are working on a patrol plan to solve this.
