In October the Race Driver SA (RDSA)/Racing Spirit Karting Team took part in round seven of the regional karting championship. Michael O’Mahoney flew the flag high for the team racing in the Rotax Mirco Max class. He qualified first and won two out of the three heats on the day, taking first overall in class.
Also in October, Racing Spirit drivers Connor Kilbride and Tristan de Nobrega competed in the Regional Power Series Championship at Killarney Raceway. Connor competed in the BMW Car Club and Sports & GT categories and finished first and third overall in his classes. Not to be outdone, Tristan competed in the Sports & GT category and finished first overall in his class.
In November the Racing Spirit Team had three cars on display at the Killarney Motor Show. The cars were featured as part of the highly popular Ravenol and BMW Car Club stands. The event was attended by thousands of spectators, many of whom admired the teams’ cars on display.
Also in November, RDSA/Racing Spirit Karting Team took part in round eight of the Karting Regionals with driver Michael O’Mahoney. He drove in the Micro Max and made his debut in the Mini Max class. It was a strong outing for the 10-year-old driver who finished first and second overall in the two respective classes. He also finished second in the 2024 Mirco Max Regional Championship.

In an eventful November, Racing Spirit drivers Connor Kilbride and Tristan de Nobrega competed in the Regional Power Series Championship at Killarney Raceway. Connor raced in the BMW Car Club and Sports & GT categories, finishing first in both categories. Tristan competed in the Sports & GT category and finished third overall in his class.
Racing Spirit also hosted a BMW passenger experience giveaway on Instagram in November. The lucky competition winner enjoyed an exclusive experience being driven around Killarney Raceway by team driver Connor Kilbride in the team’s BMW E36.
Racing Spirit 2025 season
Pre-season has been busy with lots of preparation and planning going into the new season.
The team is excited to be taking on their first full season with a three-car lineup in the Sports & GT and BMW Car Club Cape Town championships respectively. The E46 M3 Turbo and E36 328i will be piloted by Connor Kilbride. Tristan de Nobrega takes on the duties in the E46 Naturally Aspirated M3.
The Karting team has also seen some growth with two new drivers confirmed in the lineup for the year, taking the karting team total to four drivers.
The main circuit season kicks off with a double header in February. The Karting Regionals also launch with round one in February.

Century indoor karting competition and RDSA training session giveaway
Racing Spirit hosted two competitions during the holidays with both winners being announced. The karting competition took place at Century Karting at Canal Walk in February with the winners, NDT and Racing Spirit Team present. The event was a team bonding exercise shared with the fans who won the competition.
The RDSA training session competition offers the winner a chance to get one-on-one driver training with RDSA driver coaches, Claudio Piazza Musso and Tristan de Nobrega. The training session will take place at the earliest convenience of the winner.
