Dear Team, Partners and Stakeholders
I would like to begin by expressing my sincere appreciation to all the stakeholders across Warwick Wealth, Orion Wealth Managers, Orion Investment Managers, and the broader Spirit Group. It is through your collective effort, dedication, and professionalism that we have once again achieved an exceptional quarter within the Orion Wealth Management business.
This past quarter has been one of meaningful growth — not only in terms of underlying client assets and investment performance, but also through the expansion and strengthening of our businesses. Warwick continues to set the industry benchmark as the preferred home for professional financial advisors, whether through our long-term succession planning solutions or our innovative wealth advisory partnership model.
Under the Orion Wealth Managers umbrella, I am also delighted to confirm the successful launch of both Infiniti Wealth and Silverthorn Employee Benefits. These two exciting ventures represent key milestones in our strategic diversification. A special word of congratulations goes to Jason Lubbe, who has joined Silverthorn as its General Manager. Both businesses have exceptional operating models that will, in time, become industry leaders in their respective fields as we take these strategies forward into 2026 and beyond.
Within Warwick, we have continued to attract and partner with some of South Africa’s most experienced and respected financial advisors. Over the past quarter, Melinda McLean, Niek van den Berg, Mike McBride, Valerie Fouché, Anthony Gray, André Soloman, and Leon van Huyssteen all joined us in the Western Cape; Elise van der Waal joined in KwaZulu-Natal; Wim Coetzer in Gauteng; Hennie Swanepoel in Mpumalanga; Gerard Rogers in the Eastern Cape; Amanda Oosthuizen along the Garden Route; and Paul Bruwer in Upington. Each of these professionals brings significant experience and trusted client relationships to the group, and we look forward to supporting their continued growth and success within the Warwick family.
We have also welcomed several new staff members and recognised a number of well-deserved promotions. Mathew Pellatt has been promoted to Head of Funds within Orion Wealth Managers. We are also pleased to welcome Nicole January as Commissions Administrator, Rob Mattison as Take-On Administrator, and Anrico Blignaut as Wealth Specialist for Gauteng. These additions strengthen our operational capabilities and ensure that we continue to deliver the highest levels of service and support to our advisors and clients.
From an investment perspective, the quarter was equally strong. Client portfolios delivered excellent performance, with many funds significantly exceeding their benchmarks. Orion Investment Managers, as our dedicated investment partner, continues to perform exceptionally, maintaining robust asset allocation strategies and delivering strong risk-adjusted returns. I am also pleased to confirm that the full Warwick investment value proposition and its diversified fund range are now fully available on both the Ninety One and Old Mutual Wealth platforms — offering clients even greater access, flexibility, and diversification.
In closing, I would like to thank every member of our team for their commitment and contribution to another outstanding quarter. We have just under six working weeks left in the year, so let’s continue to push forward, engage meaningfully with our clients, and finish the year strong. If I don’t see you before the break, I wish you and your families a restful and joyful festive season.
Until next quarter – onwards and upwards!
Warm regards,
Marc Wiese
Managing Director, Orion Wealth Managers
